Yama as per Patanjali Yoga Sutra.

As per Great Sage Patanjali (Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2:29) there are eight limbs of yoga. They are yama, niyama, asana, pranayama pratyahara, dharana, dhyana and samadhi.

Ahinsha, (Non-killing), Stya( truthfulness), Astya(non-stealing), Brahmcharya (continence), and Aparigraha (non-receiving), are called Yama or Self restrain.

To develop this virtue one must start with Non-killing or loving-kindness. Once you start practicing loving-kindness in thoughts, words, and in action you can practice non killing or non violence more easily. If you develop oneness with GOD or Parbrahm or Christ consciousness whatever name you can give to THAT supreme power and oneness with all, you will be Ahinshak- non-killer or nonviolent of your own without any special effort.  To develop virtue of non-killing or oneness with all or any other limb of yoga you must need determination and enthusiasm.  These both are very necessary to reach at ultimate goal of self realization. With very careful self observation and with enthusiasm you must keep developing one yama(virtue) at time or all at time according to your own spiritual growth and mind power. But in all the most important thing is to keep your ultimate goal in your mind otherwise with personal development you will get some power or Siddhi and if you are not very careful about your ultimate goal, you will lost in that power or siddhi.

Virtues:

The path of spirituality also needs courage……let us talk about basic need for developing spiritually. Some of the basic virtues are truth (non-lying) and honesty; loving kindness and non-injury; generosity and non-stealing. You must start with one virtue at time and develop that virtue in thought, words, and in action. To develop virtue
many different methods are shown by different great Gurus and you must use one
which suits to your inner nature. One of the methods I know is, first determine
which virtue you want to develop and every day sacrifice the opposite of that
virtue to supreme GOD or Lord Sun. And also ask for blessing of the virtue you
want to develop from Supreme GOD or the God according to your belief. Also express
gratitude to Supreme GOD or to your God for the blessings. You must be always
vigilant or aware about your thoughts, words and actions and if you have
burning desire for spiritual growth; in beginning you will notice that you are
many time using thoughts, words and action negative to virtue you want to
develop. Just keep check and every time say sorry to yourself for mistake and
try to avoid in future. In few weeks you will find that you are developing that
virtue in thoughts, words and in action.

The first virtue needs to be developed in my opinion is; loving kindness and non-injury.

“Is there any one maxim which ought to be acted upon throughout one’s whole life? Surely the maxim of loving kindness is such: Do not unto others what you would not they should do unto you.” Confucius

What is your opinion?

TO DEVELOP SPIRITUALLY NEEDS COURAGE

“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear”.
Mark Twain

The path of spirituality also needs courage to learn unknown and you may come across many bitter truths about self from past lives and other unknown fears as delusion evaporates. This path is lone path there are many travelers on this path but all are at different point in time and space as per their spiritual development. Certainly you will get help guidance and even inspiring energy from within and from some other higher spiritual practitioner, but still you have to cover the path alone. Traveler needs lots of courage to overcome fear of unknown and temptation of martial world. And you also need constant physical, emotional and psychological adjustment.

But after some development you will find yourself safe in unknown divine hands of Supreme Being. The most fascinating thing about this path is that you are never losing.
What you gain by practice will be yours for ever. And even if this physical
aspect ends (end or death of physical body) before self-realization (salvation/moksha/liberation); in your next incarnation you will start your journey from the point where you have left. Thus if you start your journey on spiritual path be prepared to face many unknowns and even very scary occurrences. But still it leads to eternal
peace and joy. BE HAPPY IN YOUR PRESENT; WHATEVER IT MAY BE.

Meditate with purpose.

“Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but
manifestations of strength and resolution”.
Kahlil Gibran

To increase kindness, loving kindness one must have bigger Heart Chakra (heart
center). But development of only heart chakra will create many problems in life
about money and relationship. If one practice meditation on heart chakra and
crown chakra with loving kindness in mind may develop better balance heart and
crown chakra. Meditation on crown chakra opens crown chakra that enables you to
draw down a great amount of high-quality divine energy into the crown. The prana
(energy) that this meditation produces greatly promotes physical and mental
health as well as inner illumination. Particularly on full moon day there is
great down pour of energy (we all know about psychological effect of full moon
day and effect of moon energy).

We are tapping this energy. We are doing a powerful full moon meditation every month and we aim at focusing this energy to heal and energize the whole Earth and bless our loved ones and personal projects. You, Your family and friends are welcome to join us on next full moon day i.e. Tuesday evening, October 11th, at 8:00PM for a powerful full moon meditation as we aim at focusing this energy to heal and energize the whole Earth and bless our loved ones and  personal projects. May we do Meditation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meditation is generally an inwardly oriented, personal practice, which individuals can do by themselves. Prayer, beads or other ritual objects may be used during meditation. Meditation may involve invoking or cultivating a feeling or internal state, such as compassion, or attending to a specific focal point.
With the hectic pace and demands of our present life, many people feel stressed
and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day
to get everything done. So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind
calmer and more focused. A simple ten or fifteen minute breathing meditation
can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.

Generally, the purpose of breathing meditation is to calm the mind and develop
inner peace. We can use breathing meditations alone or as a preliminary
practice to reduce our distractions before engaging in a higher meditation.

What is Pranic Healing.

Pranic Healing is a ‘no-touch’, ‘no-drug’ therapy that uses ‘cosmic’ or ‘universal
life force energy’, known variously as ‘prana’ in Sanskrit, ‘chi’ or ‘qi’ in Chinese, and ‘ki’ in Japanese for the holistic healing. In acupuncture, the Chinese refer to this subtler energy as “Chi” and   recognize its importance in keeping the body in a state of good health .
Pranic Healing is a simple yet powerful and effective energy healing. It
is based on the fundamental principle that the body is a self repairing living
entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Pranic Healing works on the
principle that the healing process is accelerated by increasing the life force
or vital energy on the affected part of the physical body.

Pranic Healing is applied on the bio-electromagnetic field known as the aura, or energy body, which is a mold or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body. This energy body absorbs life energy and distributes it throughout the physical body, to
the muscles, organs, glands, etc. The reason Pranic Healing Works on
the energy body is that physical ailments first appear as energetic disruptions in the aura before manifesting as problems in the physical body.

Pranic Healing is complementary to the orthodox medical and other types of treatments; and it may be use alone or may be use in combination with any other type of treatments.

These applications for health and well being have been taught in seminars, healing
centers and foundations in over 40 countries.

How to find who we are-1

When You are alone you are not alone. You may be self talking to you or thinking about something/someone, dreaming, imaging, something is going on. Thus when you are alone, try to be lone. And you will find new you. You as a physical body and mind are separate from your spirit or consciousness (incarnated soul). One
must have very sensitive or very steady one pointed mind to realize this very
minute but omnipotent existence. There are many many ways to attain this state of mind and YOGA is one of them. Yoga means union, your union with your universal soul. Yoga also has many branches like Raja yoga, Hatha yoga, Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga and so on. One have to choose the suitable path (branch of yoga)  according to ones personality. When you sit alone and calm you may be able to know your real lean of personality and you can choose your path or branch of yoga accordingly for journey to infinite.

Try yourself and share your feedback.

Who you are?

Who you are?

…..Live with openness; Do some exercise; But if not done for day or two do not worry but do it; Always
remember you will get chance to act so be little patient……………. These are some
good words but may be; may not be practical or difficult to practice. To live
your own life you need to find yourself within you. This requires some of your
time with you with full awareness of mind that you are with yourself and not engaged
in self talk on some subject. You may find you are not one but many or trying
to be many. That is true you are always connected to your universal soul/self that
is Universal thus you are always on many facet, in many dimension. You need to
understand some or each dimension to find your true inclination about your life
and its purpose. Once you find that you may choose to start your journey on the
path apposite to your personality to know your true self.

Namaste Universe!

Welcome to Invigorate Life. We will have some  expression soon to reinvent life.
